Finding the Sapphire of Your Dreams
There are many different things that you will want to know about the sapphire if you are going to be considering making a purchase of one. These gemstones are both manufactured and natural. Further the stone can be in a wide variety of blues as possible.
During the processing the stone is heated in order to help develop the color and make it more intense. If you look through a magnifying glass you will be able to see if the stone that you are looking at has been heated or not. Basically you look at the needles inside the stone and if they are unbroken then you know that it has not yet been heated. You will want to see that all of the silk is gone if it is only partially gone then you know that the process of heating was not done right or fully.
Basically to save money during the processing some manufacturers choose to only do a low heat tube heating which is done for a short period of time over charcoal. The other heating process takes a week. Basically the shorter time only allows the color to be somewhat brighter rather than completely bright. Some sapphires are red as well. There are many other colors of the gemstone as well.
One color is that the stone can be purple. If this is the case they are typically less expensive than the blue ones. The stones can also be green, yellow and pink and many different colors in between. . There is even a unique colored stone that shifts colors from blue to purple depending on if you are outside or inside when you see the stone. These stones might also appear to be pink or green in some of the lights. Although you might see a white stone or one that is clear it is very rare that his is how they come out of the ground and typically they are heated to get this coloring.
Since the stone has been known to symbolize faithfulness, truth and sincerity then one ideal product is sapphire wedding ring. By using this stone in place of a diamond or with a diamond you will be adding significant meaning to the ring and a new type of meaning than what was given in a original stone. Finding the perfect sapphire is something that is possible for everyone and it could even make a great alternative to a diamond in an engagement or wedding ring.
